As the city celebrates 318 Day, Great Raft Brewing will make sure there is plenty of 318 Golden Ale to go around.
And not just any 318, same-day 318. “We want to celebrate by offering customers beer as fresh as we drink it here at the brewery,” Co-Founder and President Andrew Nations said, “Our production team will start kegging and canning over 600 cases at 1a.m.”
While they pride themselves on fresh beer with the ‘canned on’ dates, delivering beer the same day it’s packed is not sustainable regularly, noted Business Director Jared Rinaudo, “However, we have a great partner at Eagle Distributing who shares our belief that fresh beer is the best and bends over backward for this one day of the year to offer something truly special.”
This is the second year that Great Raft has celebrated 318 Day, “Packaging and delivering same-day 318 Golden Ale on March 18th exemplify Great Raft Brewing’s pride in fresh, high-quality, local beer,” said Rinaudo.
The brewery will open Monday, March 18 at 3:18 pm and remain open until 9 pm. Pints of 318 Golden Ale and 318 Strawberry will be $3 all day. Dripp Hot Chicken will be offering a 318-beer-battered fish special in addition to their full menu. Additionally, people can purchase kegs and cans of same-day 318 at local retailers listed at 318beer.com.
