LeBron James Shouts Out Pistons' Ausar Thompson After Win vs. Nets

Ausar Thompson landed a LeBron James shoutout.

Thursday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets was a successful one for Detroit Pistons rookie Ausar Thompson.

First, he had a puback slam of his go viral after the NBA posted it as the Pistons were straightening their lead late in the game.

Then, Thompson received some love from the most notable name in the league, LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers star took to Instagram to shout out Thompson for another play that made noise. As Thompson made a quick cross-up move to zip by his defender, he managed to attack the basket and throw down a dunk. James caught the action on Instagram, and re-posted to his story.

“That move is sick, rook,” said LeBron. “Sheesh.”

Thompson checked in for over 40 minutes of action on Thursday night against the Nets. On the offensive end, he scored 14 points by draining six of his 12 shots. While he struggled from three, missing all but two of his seven attempts from deep, the Pistons rookie still had an efficient night, grabbing his points elsewhere.

In addition to his scoring, Thompson was active on the glass, snatching up seven rebounds. He also collected a steal and a block as well.

Winning games has been a rare occasion for a rebuilding Pistons team this season, but they managed to come victorious over the Nets on Thursday. With a 118-112 victory, the Pistons picked up their tenth win of the year, keeping their spot in 14th place, just ahead of the Washington Wizards, for the time being.
