Larsa Pippen defended her decision to give her 15-year-old daughter a $2,500 monthly allowance.

The TV personality spoke out during part three of "The Real Housewives of Miami" season 6 reunion on Thursday. Larsa, 49, shares a daughter, Sophia, and four sons with former NBA star Scottie Pippen. Although Larsa is based in Miami, she revealed to Bravo earlier in the season that Sophia chose to live with Scottie in Los Angeles for her freshman year of high school.

The topic of monthly allowances came up when host Andy Cohen read a question from a viewer, according to Bravo.

"You guys [have to] understand, LA is super expensive," Larsa told her costars. "So after school, she orders food or Uber or buys presents for her friends' birthdays."

Larsa added that Sophia is currently growing her career and making her own money as a model.

"I have a deal with Fashion Nova and they gave her a deal, and she was the face for Oscar de la Renta," Larsa said. "She literally makes money, you know?"

In a January episode of "RHOM," Larsa admitted that it was tough being away from her daughter, who splits her time between Los Angeles and Miami.

"It's hard. For sure, it's hard. But, for me, Miami is home. Like, that's where my heart and my soul is, and Sophia loves being in LA, and so it's OK. You know, her dad is there," Larsa said. "She kind of goes back and forth, and she's happy. That's the only thing that I care about."

Larsa and Scottie were married for 19 years but finalized their divorce in December 2021, but Larsa said the ordeal was difficult.

In February 2022, she claimed she was "traumatized" from the divorce proceedings and dubbed Scottie "The Punisher."

"If he doesn't get his way, he punishes me," Larsa said, according to People.

More recently, Larsa sparked a relationship with former NBA star Michael Jordan's second eldest son, Marcus. Although rumors about their relationship swirled in late 2022, they appeared to confirm their relationship in January when they were spotted kissing in public.

On an episode of "RHOM," Larsa admitted that the relationship was probably weird for Scottie and Michael, who were longtime teammates, according to Bravo.

However, a source told People in February that the couple broke up.

Representatives for Larsa Pippen, Scottie Pippen, Marcus Jordan, and Michael Jordan did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.
