(CNN) – The world’s highest peak has a growing human waste problem.

In an effort to cut down on pollution, Nepal is now requiring Mount Everest climbers trek back down with their own poop.

While that might sound gross, it shouldn’t be smelly.

Climbers will be given two poop bags which can be used six times each.

The bags contain chemicals to solidify the waste and make it odorless.

This season, an estimated 1,200 people will be on the mountain, according to the Nepal Mountaineering Association.

The organization said each person spends about two weeks at the higher camps as they summit the 29,000-foot peak.
