A source close MSNBC confirmed to Mediaite on Tuesday that the network briefly shut down the third floor of their New York office out of an abundance of caution after a bug sighting.

The New York Post originally reported on Monday about the “bed bugs” found at studio 3A at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Studios across the third floor in the building were cleared out after a bug was spotted.

The Post reported MSNBC was “scrambling” for studio space, but a network source told Mediaite one single bug was sighted on Sunday and the floor had been cleared and everyone returned to work by Monday afternoon, ahead of their busy Super Tuesday coverage.

An exterminator was brought in, as well as “an environmental K-9 detection team” for a final pass before workers could return to their offices.
