2 people hurt after Omaha police shoot aggressive dog while responding to trespassing call downtown
Two people were injured after Omaha police shot an aggressive dog while responding to a trespassing call in downtown Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. near 16th and Farnam streets.
Omaha police Lt. Neal Bonacci told KETV that officers responded to a trespassing call and encountered an aggressive dog.

Shots were fired by officers, an estimated three to five rounds, to take the dog down, leading to a help an officer call, Bonacci said.
Authorities said two people were injured in the incident. One person was hit in the leg, and another was hit as well, Omaha police said. Investigators said they have not yet determined if the injuries were from "projectiles or from debris."
KETV saw at least 10 police cars at the scene initially.
