Rebel Wilson has lifted the lid on a feud with a British film star she claims has caused issues with her tell-all book.
The Aussie star named actor and writer Sacha Baron Cohen as the star trying to stop her mentioning him in her upcoming memoir.
The Bridesmaid actress, 44, told fans she "will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers" as she revealed Baron Cohen as the previously unidentified "massive a**hole" mentioned in one chapter of her forcomthing autobiography Rebel Rising, set to be released next month.
Writing on Instagram on 15th March, Wilson said: "When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, yeah, ‘I have a no a**hole policy, means like, yeah, I don’t work with a**holes.’ I was like, ‘Oh yeah. I mean, that sounds sensible or logical. But then it really sunk in because I worked with a massive a**hole and yeah, now I definitely have a no a**holes policy."
In another previous post shared on social media, mum-of-one Wilson alleged: "Now the a**hole is trying to threaten me. He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He’s trying to stop press coming out about my new book. But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth."
Taking to her Instagram Stories today (25th March), Wilson shared a picture of a notebook and pen and wrote over the image: "I will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The 'asshole' that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen." The Mirror has approached representatives for Baron Cohen for comment on this story.
Wilson and Baron Cohen both starred in the 2016 spy action comedy movie Grimsby. The poorly reviewed film, written by Baron Cohen, saw Wilson play the role of Dawn Grobham, the girlfriend of Baron Cohen's character Kyle Alan 'Nobby' Butcher, and mother of his 11 children.
Australian Wilson, 44, was asked to do full-frontal nudity for the film but used a body double for the scenes. "They wanted full-frontal nudity. We write in the contract, specifically, 'No nudity'", Wilson told Marie Claire in 2016. "They got in another girl - this larger burlesque dancer from South Africa - to be a nude double. And they got her to do all this stuff. Sacha would go, 'See, she looks good.' I'm like, I'm not doing it. I don't care what you say."
