We purchased windows from Home Depot over a year ago in Fort Myers fl. We waited 4 months to get installed. When the installer showed up he said 1 window was wrong. It was opaque for the bedroom but was supposed to be clear. He installed it and said he was ordering the correct one. He said it would take a while as they are behind but would contact us when it comes in. We have been waiting 8 months. We called our home depot sales rep. He said to call warehouse. We left them 3 messages, no return call. Called sales rep Bruce ** back. He Said call install manager. We have left 3 messages. No return call. Now we are looking for someone higher up to contact.

In early December of 2023 we paid $4267 for windowless front double doors installed by Home Depot. Today is April 8, 2024 and we are still attempting to get the shoddy trim work completed. We already paid an outside company & got reimbursed by Home Depot for their cutting wires & sealing up our security system wiring. We also had to hire an outside contractor to fix the torn up concrete. We got reimbursed by Home Depot. Currently, we are trying to get them to approve us hiring a contractor to correct the shoddy trim job for $150. Still waiting for Home Depot to approve this. Four months now & counting. Never again!

I contracted with Home Depot to purchase and install 20 windows. Installation was scheduled for November 2023. During the installation, they did a rush job, did not install several of the windows properly (one fell out), they damaged one window and they damaged the trims in cills on half the windows. They even tried to fix some trims with caulk! Despite this terrible job and a missing window, they demanded payment and harassed me every day for 2 weeks (even though I had paid 75%+ of the window installation). After 2 months of arguing, they agreed to repair the damage they caused. When they came to finish the repairs, they called me to schedule the first repair but just showed up on the second repair. Then they proceeded to harass me for 3 days straight (11 calls + emails) while I had to wait for my bank to process the payment. The Home Depot was absolutely horrid.

I was warned not to utilize Home Depot for my front and rear door purchase and installation and I wish I had listened. Firstly, for a door install, you must use a measure done by a Home Depot representative, which I did. The first order I received was damaged, and according to Home Depot's contactor, the doors were "short." I canceled the order and reordered the doors from a different store using Home Depot's measurement as required.

The second order came and the new door measurements were off as well. However, this time the Home Depot contractor didn't let me know. Instead, they filled the excess width with sealant; they tried to extend the transom using sealant; neither door was caulked, the rear door is missing 3 screws; spackle was used on the exterior of the rear wooden door, the rear door is not even sealed, and cheap, 3- inch pieces of brown plastic were used to fill the gap between the floor and the door -- my doors are white and my flooring is gray. The doors look horrible! I sent pictures to Home Depot and asked for a refund because the front door needs to be replaced and the rear door needs to be repaired. A Home Depot representative came out and took pictures of deficiencies that I had missed.

Long story short, Home Depot basically told me to kick rocks because 1. I got what I ordered. But, I didn't order the doors because I am not a door installer, Home Depot measured the doors, ordered the doors & supplies, and hired the contractor. 2. I wouldn't allow the contractor who ruined the doors in the first place, to fix the damage they had purposely caused. I liken this to allowing someone who spit in my food, to prepare my dinner! The only way to recoup my loss is by suing, which would cost more time, money, and stress than it is worth. Consider yourselves warned.

Ordered two doors from Home Depot to be delivered to my house. The first door was schedule, I'm sitting in my house waiting and get an email that the delivery was missed. Did see a truck go by the house; apparently that was them. Never stopped, knocked on the door or called ahead or anything. Had to reschedule. Door was delivered. Did not call ahead or knock on door to let me know they were there this time either. I happen to hear them outside.

Second door: They gave me a delivery date. That date came and went. Called to check and they said they would email me a new delivery date in 24 hours. Never received that date. Called again and was told I would get my door in a few days. I get 2 automated phone calls about a "delivery" that was going to happen. That automated call did not mention "Home Depot" at all. It did give me an order number which was not my order number for this door. I think it's a scam call and ignore. At 8 pm on a Friday night I hear something in my driveway. Go to look and it's the delivery of my door. No knock on the door or anything. (what is up with that?) Take the packaging off my door the next day and the door is damaged. Received a measly 15% off the door. Take it from me folks STICK WITH LOWES or literally anyone else if you need something delivered!

The whole process dealing with Home Depot was very dissatisfying. From constant appointment changes, to sending a window installer for a door installation and the doors being too small! Does Home Depot not realize or care people work and when the measurement team, installers come, people need to take off work? When the door installation finally happened, the doors were too small along with the framing. Home Depot blames the manufacturer. If that is true, why doesn't Home Depot have some type of quality control to prevent this from happening. This lead me to take yet another day off for a second installation to occur, not to mention the other prior times.

I then was expecting some sort of a discount for all the trouble. I contact the design consultant and she forwards my email to the individual who can grant a discount and make things right. I was told we needed to wait until the project was done. Once the the project was completed, I contact both of them to discuss a discount or some sort of compensation. The cherry on the top is they both go silent and I get no response. Due to all the issues, I will never use Home Depot again or even shop in their stores. All they care about is their money and not the customer. It's very disappointing that Home Depot will allow all these issues from cancelled appointments to the doors not even being the right size! Very embarrassing for such a large company!

Home Depot sold me a very expensive custom 10ft wide window and install. It was and continues to be a nightmare. The caused a catastrophic leak that is damaging my home office below the 2nd floor Guest suite and still is leaking!!! They claim they are not responsible for leaks!! That statement alone is disturbing and they have caused over $10,000 of damages and refuse to fix the damages and worse will not try to stop the leak except to squirt tube after tube of silicone sealant everywhere....they have even stopped doing that. Anyone that wants to see this unprofessional job and the tubes of silicone caulk and continued damages and you are near Melbourne Florida or Vero Beach come on over. It is basically unbelievable.

I am being charged before windows were installed, installation poor for Home Depot advertised as professions. Windows not the best made. Windows were not well made and installed. Another crew sent to fix bad installation by first installers. Some part of certain windows not well made to be fixed by another crew. A window installed vinyl broken a bubble in a window and a window with a creak lock on several windows poorly installed and loose and no screw and air blowing in windows shaft where windows let up and down walls and windows seal were damaged. Home Depot started billing me for windows before they were even delivered or installed although I was told no payment or billing until windows were installed and I approved windows and installation.

Windows were purchased in September 2023 and I am still dealing with windows being installed better and two windows glass has to be replaced. Poor installation will cost me more money to repair damage done to windows seals and internal wall damaged while windows were installed. To summarize just poor craftsmanship and installation for what I am being charged for especially since Home Depot advertises professional bonded and insured installers. Highly disappointed. Will not recommend.

Ordered 29 NEW ANDERSEN 100 Windows beginning of Aug 2023 to be installed. Were told it would take 12-16 weeks. After the run around of them not being able to do a complete install (synthetic stucco), they gave me a name of an UN-Licensed contractor to finish the job so that the order would not be cancelled on our part after they had already collected over $10K from us. FOUR months later we receive a call (expecting them to tell us our windows were in), stating they won't be able to provide our replacement windows! They have held onto our money for 4 months with no communication and NOT refunded us by CHECK, since our CC has since been paid off. We have requested they also now pay us interest on the money they have held onto all this time and for the complete nightmare it has created for us to start this process all over with another company.

Our windows needed to be installed by end of year to be able to have our painting contractor completely repaint our home. Home Depot has completely destroyed that while we will have to live with drafty windows for at least ANOTHER 3-4 months! They stuck their stickers on all our window frames when they specifically state NOT TO and after calling their department regarding this issue, we still have not heard one word back from them about the removal of those nor our refund. Next step obviously will be court. BEWARE- DO NOT USE THEM FOR WINDOWS!
