Pearl River County to open community safe room in anticipation of severe weather

POPLARVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) - Due to the potential for severe weather, the Pearl River County Office of Emergency Services announced the Poplarville Community Safe Room opened its doors at 9 p.m. to those seeking shelter.
Officials say the safe room will remain open until the threat of severe weather has passed.
Pets are not allowed. Those taking shelter are encouraged to bring essentials such as food and water.
The Poplarville Community Safe Room is located at 124 Rodeo Street, Poplarville, MS 39470.
