The McCool Junction Evening with the Stars fundraising event will be held on Saturday, March 23. Tickets are on sale now! They can be purchased for $40 a ticket or $320 for a table of 8. Tickets must be paid for at the time of purchase. No holds.
The annual United Way Carnival will be held on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the York City Auditorium. Fun for families with children, especially under the age of ten. Games, prizes, food and bounce houses. No cost.
Cross County High School Band will be hosting their 23rd Annual Cougar Basketball Jamboree on Saturday, March 23 at Cross County. This is an intra-school double elimination basketball tournament and a fundraiser for the band.
The Exeter Community Club and Exeter-Milligan FCCLA will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23 starting at 10 a.m. The hunt will be held at the Exeter-Milligan Playground Area in Exeter. Children through the 5th grade are welcome to participate. Grace’s Coffee Co. will be set up for attendees to grab some hot, iced or blended coffee, smoothies and more! In case of inclement weather the egg hunt will be held inside the school. Candy and prizes donated by Generations Bank.

The Hello Spring Home Town Craft Show will be held on Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Sutton Community Senior Center, located at 200 South Saunders Ave. in Sutton. There is no admission fee and there will be vendors both inside and outside the community center along with food trucks and a coffee trailer. The Burg Ball Burger Bash will be held on Sunday, March 24 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Stromsburg Legion. The meal will include a burger, chips, beans, dessert bar and water or lemonade. A free will donation will be taken with all proceeds going towards the Summer Ball Program.
The Centennial Music Department will give a public performance of the musical “Mama Mia!” on Sunday, March 24 from 3 to 4 p.m.

Get a jumpstart on becoming an All-Star during York Parks & Rec’s Rookie All-Stars on Monday, March 25 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Community Center. This program will focus on a different sport each week teaching the fundamentals and increasing the awareness of each sport for kids. The program is set up to have the first hour focused on fundamentals and the last 30 minutes on playing the game. Open to kids in grades 2 through 5.

Learn ways to make small changes that will have a big impact on your life. Learn how our brains process pain and how our thoughts and emotions can influence that process. Classes are taught in small group settings by two facilitators. Get support and encouragement from group interactions. Make connections with the people in the class so you can stay in touch, if you’d like Caregivers are welcomed, and encouraged to attend. This interactive workshop is facilitated by trained leaders and helps individuals with chronic pain take steps to manage their health and live happier, healthier lives. Topics include: Action planning, healthy eating, physical activity, dealing with emotions, medication use and more. This workshop is free and will take place at the Four Corners Building. Preschool families are invited to Kilgore Memorial Library on Friday, March 29 at 10:30 a.m. in order to learn about the upcoming Zumbini music classes. Zumbini is a child-focused journey into the world of music, movement and dance. It’s a celebration of the power of music to enhance lives, stimulate learning, inspire dance and movement and strengthen the bond between parent and child. The class is a fun and happy hour for parents and children to enjoy music and movement. It’s designed for children under the age of 5 with a parent or caregiver and includes singing, dancing and playing instruments. The class will provide children with exposure to music and its benefits and focuses on energy, fun and play to contribute toward the natural development of cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills. Renewed Horizons has partnered with the library to bring this wonderful music experience to families.

Come and join the Waco CBO for their Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Waco Football Field. Donations for the Easter Egg Hunt can be dropped off at the Waco Branch of Cornerstone Bank until March 22.
The York Lions Club will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt at East Hill Park on Saturday, March 30 starting at 11 a.m. The event is open to kids age 10 and under and will be held rain or shine.
The Fairmont Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Pool Park on Saturday, March 30 at 4 p.m. There will be a food truck serving walking tacos, nachos, homemade chicken salad sandwiches, cheeseburgers and more.
The Geneva Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the courthouse lawn on Saturday, March 30 starting at 11 a.m. Open to children ages 0-10. The Rotary Pancake Feed will also be held that day at Jill’s Sweet Shop.

The 53rd Annual Beef Progress Show hosted by the York-Hamilton County Cattlemen will be held on Saturday, March 30 at the York County Fairgrounds in York. Entries will be taken from 7:30 to 8 a.m. with all entries completed by 8 a.m. The show will start at 10:30 a.m. This is a Junior Nebraska Cattlemen sanctioned show with all classes and divisions to meet Junior Nebraska Cattlemen Show Guidelines.
