Police in Queen Creek have arrested a Crismon High Teacher on accusations of a sex crime after authorities say he shared an “inappropriate” image to a student. Police say Brett Smith, 56, was arrested Friday and booked into the Maricopa County jail.
Authorities were called to 103rd Avenue and Payson Road, south of Lower Buckeye Road, where they found 20-year-old Mohamed Toure who had been shot. He died at the scene.

The shooting happened near Main Street and Central Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Police say a man, later identified as Cristino Reyes of Avondale, died at the scene. Another man who was shot was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive.
Authorities forced all protesters out, as demonstrations are not allowed between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Those who didn't leave were arrested for criminal trespassing.
