THIS is the hilarious moment a news reporter was repeatedly attacked by a bird on live TV as it whacked her across the head.

Ursula Heger - a journalist for Channel 10 in Australia - was trying to broadcast a coverage of the Australian sports star who was accused of harassing a police officer.

In the footage, she can be seen recounting the facts of the case when a bird interrupts her report.

The little flying intruder repeatedly smacks Ursula's head as it uses her scalp as a launch pad.

Ursula can be seen desperately trying to keep her composure and carry on with her coverage, but the bird refuses to give up.

In a desperate bid to avoid the pest, the reporter crouches down to get out of its flight path but the bird lunges at her anyways.

In the video, the feathered attacker hooks its feet into Ursula's hair, messing it up and slaps her head with flapping wings.

Ursula keeps a straight face on throughout the video, but gives in at the end, bursting into laughter.

The cameraman can be heard struggling to contain himself as he says: "This is the funniest thing."

Ursula tries to fix her hair as she says: "This is the most ridiculous moments of my life.

"I just stood there and took it."

The crew member adds: "That's bloody funny."

This isn't the first hilarious mishap caught on live camera during TV broadcast.

Another Australian presenter slapped herself in the face on live television when she was suddenly swarmed by mosquitoes.

Meanwhile, a cheeky pup in Russia jumped up and grabbed a journalist's microphone during a TV weather report.

The reporter then can be seen running after the friendly dog whilst shouting "Stop, stop, come here!"
