Central Florida fisherman airlifted to hospital after being attacked by 9-foot alligator
A Central Florida man has been hospitalized after being attacked by an alligator over the weekend.
According to Lake County officials, it happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of Grand Vista Trail in Leesburg.
The man received injuries to his hand and wrist. He was airlifted to a trauma center in Orlando.
According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, an nuisance alligator trapper responded, removing the 9-foot male alligator that was involved in the incident.
