Matthew Perry suddenly passed away on Oct 28, 2023, and many questions have been circling about his death, such as the circumstances, how people closest to him have been dealing with the loss, and more. And now, five months after, his will has been released, shining a light on numerous things.

The biggest takeaway from his will was that “a majority of his belongings to a trust,” the Alvy Singer Living Trust he founded. Along with that, he named numerous people as his beneficiaries: his father John Perry, mother Suzanne Morrison, his half-sister Caitlin Morrison, and his ex Rachel Dunn, who he dated from 2003 to 2005 and whom he called “the ex-girlfriend of his dream” in his 2022 memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.

But another detail that caught people’s eye was what he said he’d do with his money if he had kids, and passed away. In his will, he said that if he had any kids, they would not be “explicitly entitled” to any of his $120+ million fortune, via MSN.

Now, this decision instantly reminded us of when Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher revealed they wouldn’t give their two children anything from their $275 million fortune.

Other stars who have expressed their desire to make a similar decision are Mick Jagger, Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Chan, and Simon Cowell, to name a few.

Sadly, Perry never had children, despite expressing how much he wanted to become a father one day. In a previous interview with People in 2022 via Closer, he said, “I think I’d be great. I really do. I grew up with a lot of little kids around me, and that’s probably why, but I can’t wait.”
