Neosho Earns Tough Road Victory vs St. Mary’s-Colgan

PITTSBURG, KS — The St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers hosted the Neosho Wildcats for a little Kansas-Missouri Border War matchup.
The Wildcats ended up edging out the Panthers to earn the victory, 8-5.
Denver Welch had a big day for the Wildcats. In the first inning, he hit a three-run homer to left field to give Neosho the 3-0 lead.
Welch ended up driving in another run later in the game to give him four on the day. He was 2-for-2 at the plate.
Brody Crane & Finn Versluis both racked up two RBI’s each in the victory.
Brock Radell had a big day for Colgan going 2-for-4 at the plate and driving in three RBI’s. Gus Keller and Cooper both racked up three hits.
Neosho improves to 4-3 on the year. Their next game will be tomorrow when they host Lakes Community (IL).
St. Mary’s Colgan will play host to Girard on Monday for CNC play.
