ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Bronx man was arrested after police say they seized roughly 12 kilograms of cocaine and found $3M during a drug bust. Juan Rondon, 60, faces multiple charges.

New York State Police (NYSP) say members of Troop K VGNET gathered information that led to the Bornx and a search warrant from the New York City Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. Police say upon executing the warrant, they found roughly 12 kilograms of cocaine and $3M in currency hidden inside the home.

Charges:

  • First-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (two counts)

“A cumulative effort among law enforcement partners has once again resulted in a massive seizure of deadly drugs,” said NYSP Acting Superintendent Steven G. James. “Not only did this interception save lives, but it also put an end to the violence that is often associated with drug trafficking.  The New York State Police will continue to work vigilantly alongside our partners to put dangerous individuals like Mr. Rondon behind bars.”
