A gas leak temporarily closed the Sullivan Road and Lower Fayetteville Road intersection.
The incident occurred Thursday morning when construction crews working on the future widening of Sullivan Road came into contact with a 4” main supply line, according to Bat. Chief Barth Cauthen with Coweta County Fire Rescue.
Cauthen said that members from the Newnan Police Department and Coweta County Sheriff’s Office are working to help shut down the road while repairs are underway.
