HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – Bonifay voters have re-elected Mayor Larry Cook to a 1-year term in office.
Cook beat his challenger Jason Powell.
Cook received 186 votes.
Powell received 89 votes.
Cook had just completed the first year of Dr. Emily McCanns 2-year term. He took over after she resigned last Septemeber.
This one-year term will get rotation back on schedule.
If Cook decides to run again next year, it will be for a 2-year term.
