Health coalition invites community to discuss ways to give

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local health department helps members of the community.

Hub City Health is a group that discusses and finds ways to give food and physical activity to all residents of Madison County.

All members of the community are welcome to join their monthly meetings.

Information discussed in the meetings is presented through slideshows, and are nine slides or less.

A Menti poll, a real-time voting tool, is used to gather and document voting results for projects, and is a great way to network with organizations and residents in the community.

“We’ve been looking at an app we developed last year, to be able to locate the blessing boxes and community fridges around town. Um and to be able to bolster that program and potentially be able to add some more funding for donations, stocking the fridges and blessing boxes as well,” said Abby Palmer, City of Jackson Neighborhood Services Director.

The JMCHD extension office has a health coalition that meets every fourth Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
