GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) – The South Central Kentucky Cultural Center is embarking on a mission to commemorate local veterans in an upcoming presentation.

Harnessing the power of community memory, the museum has turned to social media to gather information about veterans who served in the U.S. military between 1950 and 1955, particularly during the Korean War era.

Set for Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m., “The South Central Kentucky Cultural Center Remembers ‘The Forgotten War of Korea’” aims to pay tribute to veterans from Allen, Barren, Hart, Metcalfe, and Monroe counties.

In an inclusive initiative, the program will also spotlight the contributions of female veterans from this period.

To ensure a comprehensive program, the museum is inviting anyone with relevant information or photographs to submit them. You can reach out directly to the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center, located at 200 West Water Street in Glasgow.

For inquiries, email them at sckculturalcenter@glasgow-ky.com or send correspondence to PO Box 1714, Glasgow, KY 42141.
