Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott notes a 17% drop in homicides and an almost nine-percent drop in non-fatal shootings. But, some residents remain concerned after a particularly violent week in the city.

In the past seven days more than 16 people were either shot or killed. With that being said, as the city sees an uptick in violence, residents continue to wonder what is being done to keep them safe.

Political Commentator, Armstrong Williams, joined FOX45 News to share what needs to be done to see a drop in crime across Baltimore city.

"The legislature, the prosecutors, the courts, and the mayor all have a role to play if you want to see a dramatic drop in this crime," said Armstrong. "Other than that, it's not going to change. We'll keep having these conversations day-in-and-day-out and innocent people will die for no reason at all."
