When it comes to billionaire bragging rights, it’s pretty hard to top owning an NFL Team. However, there’s an even more elite group of owners who can also boast about owning some of the largest private yachts to be launched this season. And that group is getting bigger now that Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has joined Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan (and a few others) in what we'll just call the “NFL Owners Superyacht Club” (membership requires owning at least one yacht above 300-feet-long).
The internet lit up when the Dutch superyacht shipyard Oceanco delivered the 357-foot-long, $250 Million superyacht Bravo Eugenia recently. But when yachting websites, and other publications started to report that Bravo’s owner was none other than Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, media reports became even more sensational. And since the sometimes bombastic billionaire has never been afraid of the limelight, it comes as no surprise that the sports and financial media took notice.
Meanwhile, Shahid Khan’s 312-foot-long Kismet was designed to impress dockside onlookers while shielding VIP guests from too much attention while they are on board. But then again, the Espen Oeino—designed yacht can’t help but attract attention.
But the newest member of the club, the 305-foot-long Feadship Lady S owned by Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has something that no other super yacht in the world has—a 12 seat, two-deck tall IMAX theater that only added an extra $3 million to the final price tag.
Just launched at the Dutch superyacht yard Feadship, Lady S features a striking exterior designed by Michael Leach Design and interior designed by Reymond Langton. And if Snyder’s one-of-a-kind IMAX theater isn’t enough to turn heads in the hyper-exclusive “NFL Owners Superyacht Club,” Lady S also has a fully certified helipad, four VIP suites with 8k TVs, and facilities that cater to a wide range of sports including golf, basketball, volleyball and…you guessed it…football.
