Port St. Lucie police have identified an elderly man accused of lewd acts toward women -- including exposing himself -- at local stores.

His identity is yet to be released, but the Port St. Lucie Police Department confirmed he'd been identified after reaching out to the community on social media earlier Thursday.

The suspect was described as a man between 70 to 80 years old with a slim build and thinning hair. He's also known to wear glasses, the Port St. Lucie Police Department reported. Investigators believe he may be driving a white Nissan SUV.

The first report of indecent exposure was in September 2023, and the second case was earlier this month.

In the case last year, the man walked into a TJ Maxx on Southwest Village Parkway in Port St. Lucie, where he reportedly exposed himself. The suspect was walking behind a woman in the store when he exposed himself, police reported.

Employees at the TJ Maxx noticed the man's alleged behavior and confronted him before he left, according to PSLPD.

The second reported incident happened at a Bealls on South U.S. Highway 1, also in Port St. Lucie. A woman reported the suspect made "unwanted comments" and followed her while she shopped with his hand down his pants, the Port St. Lucie Police Department reported.

Another woman at the store also told police about his lewd behavior and indicated he had exposed himself to her as well.

PSLPD released various photos of the suspect seen wandering around the two stores wearing what appears to be a black V-neck shirt, gold chain and black pants.
