MADISON, Wisc. (WKOW) -- Wisconsin's Women's National Invitational Tournament opener didn't tip off in the best way as they trailed Southern Indiana by 19. That's when Marisa Moseley posed a straightforward ultimatum.

"I told them at halftime, 'Do you want to go home, or do you want to keep playing? It's up to you.'"

Her message fired up the Badgers as they pulled off the program's fourth-largest comeback in the 76-72 victory.

Ahead of the team's Super Sixteen game, Moseley touched on how the win symbolized the team's growth over the season.

"They get excited when other people are doing well. There isn't a mentality around it's just about me. We use the analogy 'To light someone else's candle, [it] doesn't mean your candle has to go out."

That fire within is only growing for this young group who broke the program's 13-year postseason drought. While the pressure is on to keep the season alive, they're enjoying every second the ride has to offer.

"We often say, 'You're never gonna get an opportunity to play with this group of people ever again,' and I think they've really embraced that."

Wisconsin will host its first home postseason game since 2011 on Thursday. That season, the Badgers fell to Illinois State, 62-59.

Wisconsin will tip off with Illinois State at 7 p.m. at the Kohl Center.
