The Santa Fe Artists Market highlights creators from all throughout the state of New Mexico. Established in 2010, the market is gearing up for its 14th season and will be open Saturdays from March through December.

Two artists participating in the market are blended media artist Patty O’Connor and jewelry artist Karla Hackman. In total, 70 artists rotate through the market’s 40-space venue at the Santa Fe Railyard, says O’Connor.

Hackman works mainly in mixed metals, like sterling silver, fine silver, 14, 18, and 24-karat gold, as well as with gemstones. O’Connor works in mixed media, using kaleidoscope photography that she has taken and turning it into larger pieces like wall hangings and clocks.

When it is in season, the market is held each week from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is located between the train station and the farmers market, across from REI. If you can’t take your goods home or happen to miss the weekly market, most of the artists offer shipping and online shopping. To find out more, click here.
