ICC football adds three north Mississippi natives to coaching staff

Itawamba Community College head football coach Travis Macon has added three assistant coaches to his staff.

FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) — Itawamba Community College head football coach Travis Macon has added three assistant coaches to his staff.

Dan Ellington is the Indians’ new offensive coordinator. Marcus Green will coach wide receivers and Robert Hentz will coach defensive linemen.

Ellington — a native of Olive Branch and former ICC quarterback — most recently coached tight ends and running backs at Georgia State University.

Green most recently coached wide receivers at North Pontotoc High School.

The New Albany native played college football at the University of Louisiana-Monroe, and he played in the NFL, the Canadian Football League and the United States Football League.

Hentz most recently coached defensive linemen at North Panola High School.

The Batesville native played college football at Northwest Mississippi Community College and Kansas State.
