Samsung stove and oven types

Samsung offers three different stove and oven types. The right model for you will depend on how much space you have, the features that are important to you and your budget. Samsung breaks its stoves and ovens down into ranges, wall ovens and cooktops and hoods.

Ranges
A range is a single unit that combines a stove on the top and an oven on the bottom. Samsung ranges are sleek and innovative and come in gas, electric and dual-fuel options.
Built-in wall ovens
Built-in wall ovens let you save space in your kitchen while still giving you flexibility. These units come in single, double and microwave combination options designed to blend in with your kitchen.

Samsung’s built-in wall ovens have a seamless touch-control panel that replaces traditional oven knobs. This gives the oven a sleek and elegant finish. The built-in wall ovens come in three different categories: entry-level, deluxe and premium.

Cooktops and hoods
Cooktops are the stove portion of the range without the oven option underneath. Cooktops come in gas, electric and induction options. All cooktops have five burners and use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to communicate with Samsung hoods for proper circulation. You can download the Samsung app and check the status of your burners, which is a great feature for people who always worry that they left the stove on.

Cooktops are a popular choice for consumers who want a more high-end look, and they make it easier for multiple cooks to move around the kitchen by spreading out kitchen appliances.

Kitchen hoods are installed above a cooktop and have a fan and, on some models, a light inside. These appliances remove fumes, smoke, heat and steam from the air while you’re cooking.

How do Samsung appliances work?

Samsung appliances are designed to fit seamlessly into your kitchen and be ready to use almost immediately after installation. Each type of stove and oven comes with features to make cooking safer and easier.

Many Samsung appliances connect to Wi-Fi so you can monitor your appliances from your smart devices and adjust timers and temperatures even when you aren’t in the kitchen. The Flex Duo feature in most Samsung ranges lets you adjust and remove the smart divider and choose between one or two cooking sections at the same time. The dual door gives you access to just the top of the oven for energy efficiency and flexibility.

Samsung ranges come with a self-cleaning feature, air frying options, reversible cast iron griddles and modern induction technology. Hoods come on automatically when the cooktop is activated to ensure proper circulation throughout the kitchen.

Bought 9 months ago and have never been able to use it. Been repaired many times and still leaks gas. Had gas company come too, as Samsung said it was fine. Nope, severely leaking Carbon Monoxide and gas. Still waiting on another repair. Customer service is the worse.

My husband and I were looking for an oven 3.5 years ago. I wanted one brand and my husband wanted the Samsung. We have had to replace the igniter 3 times over the last 2 years. It is the worst oven I have even known. We just have to keep replacing it because I cannot afford to buy a new one. Please do yourself a favor and pick another brand.

It's really hard to know where to start but suffice it to say do not buy a Samsung range! The inconsistency of cooking stove top and oven is so bad that I would feel sorry for someone who was a newer cook trying to cook on this range. My stove went crazy about 6 months in. By crazy I mean that the panel was blinking and things were going on and off. The oven shut off in the middle of preparing a meal for many guests. Before this the panel would blink and things would blink on and off. The warmer burner would cut on and off on its own mind you. They scheduled someone to come out and do repair. They replaced the entire upper panel of the range. They were supposed to replace the large dual burner front right position but the repair person didn't have that information and only had a small burner with him.

The inner ring of the large dual burner takes so long to heat up that it is almost useless. As well as I only have one pan that is large enough to fit that largest dual burner. I love to cook, have tons of cookware and almost every piece of it is all clad so I don't see how that burner can be useful to hardly anyone. Today the oven locked me out. I was cleaning the panel and here's some beeps and the oven locked up. There's a little place that tells you to hold it down for 3 seconds supposed to unlock it or lock it and it did none of those things.

After about six tries I was finally able to get the oven to unlock. This is without a doubt the worst appliance I have ever bought. And of course it was not cheap. It's infuriating to me that a company like Samsung has the nerve to sell such crap. I will not in case anybody was wondering ever buy another Samsung appliance. As I'm leaving my review with my 7th or 8th Samsung phone. I have four Samsung tvs. And those are just the ones that we have now. Previously we have had Samsung TVs for probably 20 years. We've been loyal to Samsung but there's something missing in this equation.

I bought a complete kitchen appliance set less than two years ago, all of which are their highest end products. All are also total garbage!!! Ice maker is stuck between crushed and cubed ice (and horribly loud when dispensing ice), the cooling in the drawer is sporadic at best, the range/oven combo is so beyond pathetic as it boils everything non-stop once whatever is on the burner reaches a cooking temp it will not do anything less than boil (so don’t plan on simmering anything!), the oven’s temp range while set at 350° will vary from 265° to as high as 400° and has never ever settled at a temperature close to 350° for which I usually use, and be VERY CAREFUL not to brush up against the stove as you will most likely turn a burner on without even knowing it, the stove/range clock is supposed to be automatically synced with the very expensive microwave but forget that too as I have to manually update the microwave clock as it loses minutes every week (I can buy a IKEA clock for a couple bucks and it never loses time!).

The dishwasher has started leaking twice in less than two years due to a horrible hose connection in the back of the dishwasher, etc etc etc.... So if I were you and you need an appliance I would avoid a Samsung product like the plague. I’ve spent more in service calls on this set I bought new less than two years ago than all the rest of my appliances I’ve owned in my previous 61 years of life. Samsung you are the absolute worst and I hope you get back what you deserve in bad karma of what you’ve given to the public with your piss poor excuse for appliances!!!!

I would give it 0 stars If it allowed. I bought a gas range stove Samsung And it lasted 2 years before the board went out. A stove's board shouldn't go out in 2 years and they wouldn't do anything to fix it. Period. Their warranty is awful.

I have had the worst experience with my Samsung range. I have only had it a year and the control panel constantly flashes an 5E error, which could be a variety of issues. I try to shut it off and the digital screen doesn’t respond, so I unplug it and see if it will reset itself. It worked, for about 2 seconds. I then repeated the process to no avail. I finally got it to turn off, and then the stove randomly came on by itself later and was on the easy setting which is 400 degrees. If I had not been home I could have had a serious problem with that overheating and catching fire. So bottom line is, save your money and stay away from Samsung appliances. I have a Samsung refrigerator as well, and it has had freezer/icemaker issues the whole time I have had it. It’s been “repaired” 5 times and each time the problem just appears again. Sigh. I’ve wasted so much money on Samsung appliances and will NEVER buy another one as long as I live!!

Christmas 2023 was a few days short of 2 years that we owned our Samsung Stove/Range. $876 dollars and the stove did not even last 2 years. We had to improvise our dinner and cook (Christmas dinner) on our outdoor grill. We reside in CT and winters are cold. From the day we purchased the stove the oven had a foul odor. Customer service told us several times this would eventually dissipate. Well, Christmas day the house filled up with smoke from circuit terminal block in the back of the stove. This is the worst product I have ever purchased! We barely used the oven due to the horrible odor! Shame on us for listening to our sales representatives! Allowing the warranty to run out. Purchased a beautiful GE Range with no odor!!

Don’t buy Samsung appliances. I bought a package and nothing has worked and they’re a little over four years old my double oven door pops open. All my knobs are burned. I have to keep it shut with a chair and Samsung will do nothing about it.

Bought the range from Costco. It was with 2 years warranty as it was from Costco and just after 1.25 years, while we were cooking on the range and suddenly there was a big crack on the left hand side. Costco simply told us that you are getting warranty from Samsung only left us to their mercy, and Samsung customer is worst. Extremely rude people and it's like one sided communication, as they won't even bother listening to what you are saying.

They asked us to send photos and we did the same and they said its seems like damage. We had to explain to multiple people that there is no such thing and impact would have caused a spider web like pattern on the glass, while here was a big crack only. After much escalation we were told that they will refer our case to their expert lab who will analyze the photos we shared. Ultimately we got an email from Samsung stating that their experts have made the final decision that it's our fault and will not assist us any further.

Samsung appliances in my experience are very poor quality and reliability. In addition, they offer poor warranties (one year parts and labour) and they are NOT transferable which is unusual in the industry. My fridge icebox died and needed to be completely replaced after just 2 years and my stove LCD display started flashing incessantly and needed to be replaced after 3 years. Their customer service is not good either and they basically don't care to make things right for their customers. Very sorry I purchased Samsung and I will never do so again. I highly recommend others don't as well. Too many other better brands out there to choose from, including LG for example.
