NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are working to find a driver who left a cyclist injured Thursday night in a crash.

Police earlier said the cyclist was killed in the crash, but police spokesman Harve Jacobs updated the report shortly before 3:30 p.m., saying the cyclist did not die in the crash.

An incident report states police responded at 11:48 p.m. to Dorchester Road near Michigan Avenue where the crash was reported.

Investigators say evidence suggests both the cyclist and the vehicle were traveling eastbound on Dorchester Road when the crash happened.

Police have not yet released a description of the vehicle believed to have been involved.

Anyone with information on the crash can call North Charleston Police Tip Line at 843-607-2076.
