A SINGLE car parking space is selling for £225,000 in a swanky London location - the same price as a three-bedroom home in parts of the country.

The lot is in a secure lockup only a stone's throw away from Hyde Park, but only smaller cars might be able to fit.

The 6m by 3m metre park on Prince Consort Road in London's SW7 has an entrance in the lockup that is only 2.66m wide.

Most Range Rovers, beloved by west Londoners who might purchase the park, are slightly over two metres wide, leaving only a sliver of room.

The park is currently for sale on Rightmove and is located underneath Albert Court, an apartment complex next to Royal Albert Hall.

The building has a history of expensive car parks, with one going on sale for £400,000 in 2014 and another for £275,000 in 2013.

The description reads: "A very secure `lock up` underground garage located under Albert Court. South Steps.

"The garage requires a key card for access and has CCTV in operation 24hrs per day. There is also access to water within the garage space."

One TikTok reviewer described the deal as "nearly quarter a million quid for a sodden car park."

Rachel Kitcat reviewed the listing on her channel, reading out the details to the audience.

She described the image of the park as looking like a "sodden crime scene.

"This looks anything but secure.

"If you're spending £225k you'd hope it's secure, it's wants to come with central heating for that price.

Kitcat said for the price she would want nice lighting and for the space to "sing".

She was also sceptical about whether a car could fit into the space.

"You'd possibly have a Range Rover and if you think you're going to fit that in here..."

The second-level park is only leasehold with the lease expiring in 2096. It also comes with its own water supply.

At £225,000, the park is more expensive than many homes in Britain.

The average home in England in December was £306,000, while the average house in Scotland is £189,000.

Britain's most expensive parking rate

BRITAIN’S priciest parking space has been revealed with fuming drivers charged £83.40 a day.

The wallet-burning driveway in front of a terraced house in leafy Knightsbridge, West London, earns more than a newly qualified nurse.

And it even costs more than the £65 parking fine you would get if you illegally parked across the street.

But drivers are clambering to get their motor in the space - which is just a stone’s throw from the iconic Hyde Park.

Four hours will cost £36.20 on parking app JusPark - whilst an hourly rate would set you back a whopping £13.90.

So far, more than 187 people have used it in just a few months.
