Legendary UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma says he knows who the best college player in America is -- and it’s not Caitlin Clark.
“You know, we have the best player in America,” he said of UConn star Paige Bueckers, who shot 14-of-25 for 32 points with 10 rebounds and 6 assists in UConn’s 72-64 victory over Syracuse in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Monday night. No. 3 UConn will next face No. 7 Duke on Saturday in the Sweet 16.
