Former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas blasted the medical staff of his former team on social media Tuesday, claiming they give every injured player the same rehab exercises.

The harsh criticism comes after it was reported that Saints offensive lineman Ryan Ramczyk might not be cleared to play this season because of a knee injury.

Due to major knee injuries in 2021 and last year, Ramczyk's NFL future is unclear, with Thomas placing the blame on Saints head coach Dennis Allen and the New Orleans medical staff.

Thomas' claims come less than two weeks after he was released by the Saints after playing for the team since 2016.

The 31-year-old Thomas is currently a free agent.

'Well when you get a injury they build you a little file folder for rehab that’s suppose to help you return to play,' Thomas said on X. 'But in reality it’s all the same rehab exercises and procedures regardless if it’s ankle, knee, wrist, etc.'

'It’s called insanity,' Thomas added.

Thomas also directly slammed Allen, claiming the team's head coach bears responsibility in the alleged situation.

'It’s like he uses the same line and just changes the players name as if there isn't a team doctor and trainers on staff that have nothing to do with it,' Thomas said. 'They trying to protect them as much as possible but hey don’t mind me I don’t work there no more. But that’s the real problem.'

Saints head coach Dennis Allen has not immediately spoken about Thomas' allegations.

Thomas also pointed to Allen using the same language when describing previous injuries within his team, including during his knee injury at the end of last season.

The Saints nor Allen have commented on Thomas' claims.

Thomas was once viewed as one of the NFL's best receivers during his time in New Orleans.

After the 2019 season, Thomas was named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year with 1,725 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
