Insulet to hire Pitney Bowes executive to replace CFO who departed for 3M

Acton medical device manufacturer Insulet has hired Ana Maria Chadwick as its new CFO, ending an executive search process started when the previous CFO left for Minnesota conglomerate 3M.
Chadwick will start in the new role of CFO, executive vice president, and treasurer on April 22. She comes to Insulet from Connecticut firm Pitney Bowes, where she was CFO and executive vice president and played an important role in transiting the 124-year-old company from a mailing company to a technology-enabled business, according to a Wednesday press release from Insulet.
She will be the highest-ranked female executive at Insulet, which for three years was the only public company in Central Massachusetts with a woman as CEO.
Chadwick replaces Wayde McMillan, the former CFO for Insulet, who left on Oct. 20 to be the CFO of the healthcare business division for 3M. Insulet’s Lauren Budden had been serving as interim CFO and treasurer and will return to her role as group vice president, chief accounting officer and controller.
Before joining Pitney Bowes, Chadwick spent 27 years at Boston-based conglomerate GE, where she held a variety of financial and operational roles including CEO and chief operating officer for GE Capital Global Legacy Solutions. She served on the boards of directors for Tennessee-based retailer Dollar General and Pitney Bowes Bank in Utah. She is on the board of Connecticut nonprofit LiveGirl, where she mentors underprivileged girls. She is a former member of GE’s Hispanic Forum and Women’s Network. Chadwick earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from American University in Washington, D.C.
“Ana is known for her insight, intellectual agility, and compelling and collaborative leadership. She will be a strong addition to our leadership team as we continue to scale and expand our business," Jim Hollingshead, Insulet president and CEO, said in the Wednesday press release.
