After a failed loan at AC Milan last season, Sergiño Dest regains his splendor with PSV. The Barça player starts every Eredivisie match. In the Champions League, the full-back also showed himself with some good performances (against Lens and Sevilla in particular). An osmosis which pushes the Dutch to want to keep their player and to negotiate with Barça. According to the Dutch newspaper Eindhovens Dagblat, the Catalan club is open to a departure of its player. However, a few details need to be resolved first.

To afford the American international, PSV must qualify for the Champions League, a possible scenario given Eindhoven’s lead in the standings (10 points ahead of Feyenoord). The amount of the transfer is also achievable, even if the Dutch leaders want to try to lower the request by 10 million euros. The biggest question lies in the salary. Currently paid in part by Barça, Sergiño Dest has a salary that is too high for the reigning champions (€3.80M per year). The Dutch club could consider asking for a pay cut from their player. The matter should, in any case, be resolved in the coming weeks.
