Australia's leading consumer affairs group, CHOICE, carried out blind taste tests and reviewed 22 different types of supermarket tomato sauces and ketchup to determine the answer.

With a total score of 79%, Community Co's 'A Squeeze of Tomato Sauce' took out the top spot.

The winning sauce is available at IGA stores nationally for only $1.50 a bottle.

Ozesauce's Australian 'All Natural Tomato Sauce' was a close second, scoring a total of 72%.

Beerenberg's tomato sauce ranked worst with only 44%.
