RINGGOLD, La. -- A Bienville Parish man died Wednesday night when he was hit by a car as he walked in the northbound lane of U.S. Highway 371.Â
Troopers said Major Love, 76, of Ringgold was pronounced dead at the scene.Â
The crash happened just before 10 p.m. south of Ringgold. A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a 2014 Ford Fusion was northbound and hit Love.Â
The driver was not injured. Troopers suspect Love was impaired.Â
