Pics reveal tourist bus crash carnage
More than a dozen people have been taken to hospital after a tourist bus hit a guardrail before crashing into a small creek.
Emergency services were called when the Greyhound bus travelling on the Bruce Highway crashed down an embankment near the Banyan Creek Bridge in Tully – about 140km south of Cairns – about 5pm on Tuesday.
Queensland Ambulance said 15 people were initially assessed by paramedics at the scene.
A man in his 20s was flown to Townsville Hospital in a stable condition with a back injury.
A woman in her 50s was flown to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition with a leg injury.
Six stable people were taken to Tully Hospital with minor injuries, while three were taken to Innisfail with minor injuries.
Two people were uninjured in the crash but were assessed by medical teams.
