U.S. Coast Guard provides health care supplies to Ocracoke

OCRACOKE, N.C. (WITN) -With ferry service to Ocracoke impacted due to stormy weather this past weekend, the U.S. Coast Guard is stepping in to help.
The Department of Transportation says Highway 12 on Ocracoke Island will stay closed until at least noon on Saturday and the ferries are inaccessible.
Tuesday the U.S. Coast Guard Station Hatteras Inlet crew delivered supplies to the local health care providers.
The DOT says the low pressure system continues to cause deep water and hazardous driving conditions on Highway 12.
