Highgate, a leader in hotel management, recently unveiled the new Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa, an enchanting destination set in the heart of Honolulu. The hotel promises to redefine the hospitality landscape on the island of Oahu thanks to its seamless mix of accessibility and indulgence.

“We are ready to bring the Renaissance brand to Oahu and provide a new and inspiring haven that features contemporary design, cutting-edge amenities and a distinctively residential feel to Honolulu’s thriving Ala Moana district,” says Matthew Grauso, general manager, Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa. “With a strong commitment to transformative wellness, engaging art and culture, and masterful culinary programs, Renaissance Honolulu will ensure every stay is a journey into the rich tapestry of Hawaii.”

Set near the world-renowned Ala Moana Center, the largest open-air shopping mall in the world, and Honolulu's exciting cosmopolitan coastline, the Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa is a stunning 39-story sanctuary. This urban oasis has 187 exquisitely designed rooms and suites, as well as 112 inviting residences, all of which feature stunning panoramic vistas of the ocean and majestic mountain ranges.

“We are proud to introduce Renaissance Hotels to the island of Oahu with the opening of Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa," says Jennifer Connell, vice president and global brand lead, Renaissance Hotels. “In a city buzzing with new and exciting retail, restaurants and more, this is a property and a brand that will not only match the energy and vibrancy of the destination but also support its continued growth by shining a light on the businesses and people that make this neighborhood – and the island overall – such a special place.”

Here's a few key things to know about this exciting new property:

Design & Rooms

The spaces throughout the hotel are designed to showcase the culture and natural beauty of Oahu. You’ll find hand-made wooden furnishings and artwork by local artists adorning the walls. Luxurious rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows in order to capture the incredible beauty of Oahu’s South Shore. Spacious bathrooms with large soaking tubs, Toto washlets and Aveda bath amenities come complete with each room and residences come with additional treats like fully equipped kitchens with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances.

Dining

Renaissance Honolulu is home to MARA, where delicious Mediterranean cuisine is made with Hawaii’s freshest local ingredients. Elevated fare by Chef Michael Ocampo and Chef Franz features family-style tapas, succulent grilled meats and local seafood. Guests will certainly want to also take advantage of the al fresco dining.

The Coral Club Lounge on the 15th floor combines stunning ocean views with delicious breakfast, midday refreshments, evening hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. SWAY, the sprawling pool, deck, bar, and grill, offers a locally-inspired open-air dining experience beneath softly swaying palm trees and poolside cabanas. Renaissance Honolulu’s grand lobby café proudly serves LAMILL Coffee Co., making it the celebrated coffee roaster’s first location in Hawaii.

Wellness

The expansive eighth-floor Sky Deck is a haven for wellness enthusiasts. Facilities include a full-service spa, tranquil meditation gardens, a fully equipped fitness center, a sunlit yoga studio encased in glass, and an outdoor MoveStrong strength training area. Uhiwai Spa offers a range of treatments, from soothing massages to rejuvenating facials. You won’t want to miss relaxing in Oahu's first traditional Japanese ofuro indoor and outdoor soaking tubs.

On the outdoor Sky Deck, guests can enjoy a large lap pool, hot tubs and a heated saltwater swimming pool. Why not purchase a convenient barbecue package from MARA to BBQ your very own poolside meal (or use the services of a private chef)?
