Nicolas Cage

Nicolas Cage (né Nicholas Kim Coppola) is an American actor, humanitarian and a member of the Coppola family. His breakout role came in 1983's Valley Girl. In 1996 Cage earned critical acclaim as an actor and won his first Oscar for his performance in Leaving Las Vegas. By the late '90s, Cage found his niche in action thrillers appearing in The Rock (1996), Con Air (1997) and Face/Off (1997). Most notably, Cage is known for his role as Benjamin Franklin Grates — a cryptographer who stole the Declaration of Independence in National Treasure (2004) and National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007). Cage's other notable films include Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000), World Trade Center (2006), Ghost Rider (2007), Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) and the science-fiction thriller Knowing (2009). In 2009, Cage was named Goodwill Ambassador and the Global Citizen of the Year for his humanitarian achievements by the United Nations.
