Ashby police investigating woman found dead outside home

Incident does not appear suspicious

ASHBY — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Police Chief Derek Pepple provided a joint statement regarding the death of a 58-year-old woman outside a Richardson Road residence on Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 12:55 p.m. on March 14, police responded to the report of a woman who was located outside a residence in Ashby and was unresponsive. Upon arrival police located a 58-year-old woman and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Middlesex County DA’s office is involved in an ongoing investigation, however, based on preliminary information the death does not appear to be suspicious, according to a press release from Ryan’s office. No ongoing threat to the public has been identified.

The investigation is being conducted by the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office, State Police Detectives assigned to the DA’s office and Ashby Police.
