Man charged after gas station carjacking in North Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 42-year-old man was arrested in connection with a carjacking at a North Nashville gas station early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at a gas station in the 3000 block of Dickerson Pike around 2:15 a.m.

The victim told officers he was pumping gas when Michael Milan approached him and asked for gas money and a drink, according to an arrest report. The victim then walked into the store and when he returned, he told authorities Milan pulled a knife and demanded his personal belongings.

The victim began fighting Milan when another man nearby joined in the fight, again demanding the victim hand over his personal belongings, Metro police reported.

According to court documents, one of the men took the victim’s wallet and iPhone before jumping into the passenger seat of another vehicle, and the other man, later identified as Milan, jumped in the driver’s seat before speeding off in the victim’s silver Mercedes.

Madison patrol officers spotted the victim’s vehicle and took the driver into custody a short time later, per the arrest report.

Milan was booked into the Metro jail and charged with carjacking, according to officials. His bond was set at $50,000.

It’s unclear if police have charged a second suspect in connection with the carjacking.
