SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – In a significant operation conducted by members of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Springfield Resident Office, two illegal firearms and a trafficking weight of suspected Fentanyl and cocaine were seized, leading to the arrest of a Springfield man on Tuesday.

The operation started around 2:05 p.m. when DEA agents intercepted a suspected drug deal in a parking lot situated on the 100 block of Spring Street. Observing the transaction, task force officers trailed the suspect’s vehicle as it exited the area, ultimately conducting a traffic stop on the 1500 block of State Street.

Upon inspection, the driver, later identified as 24-year-old, Noah Ryan, of Springfield, was found wearing a cross-body bag. Authorities also discovered a Ghost Gun concealed inside the bag.

Subsequently, during a search, task force officers uncovered a second loaded firearm tucked into Ryan’s waistband. In addition to the firearms, law enforcement confiscated over 128 grams of cocaine from the cross-body bag, along with more than 1,000 bags of suspected Fentanyl, 33 rounds of ammunition, and over $5,500 in cash.

  • Carrying a Firearm without a License (Two Counts)
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License (Two Counts)
  • Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony (Four Counts)
  • Trafficking a Class A Drug (18-36 Grams)
  • Cocaine Trafficking (100-200 Grams)
  • Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number (Two Counts)
  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
