BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Drivers who regularly travel along U.S. 40 in Brazil should be aware of coming lane closures.

According to INDOT, beginning on or after Monday, March 18, alternating lane closures will be used in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 40 between Tower Road and Raridan Street.

The closures will allow for crews from Joink to install fiber optic lines in the area as they work to expand their service. INDOT said the restrictions will be in place between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. and will last for a few days weather permitting.

Officials ask drivers coming through the area to be alert and drive slowly while going around the closures.
