SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Another clear and quiet night ahead for the ArkLaTex with temperatures tumbling into the middle and upper 40s for most places.

Turning even warmer for Friday thanks to sunshine and a gusty south breeze at 15-25 mph. Temperatures will quickly climb into the upper 70s with a few spots even flirting with 80 by late afternoon.

Not much has changed for our Easter Weekend with the big story being the warm temperatures. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will climb into the low and mid 80s along with a south breeze gusting over 20 mph both days. Clouds will be on the increase, especially for Easter Sunday but no rain is expected.

Monday will likely be the warmest day ahead of the next cold front as temperatures could soar into the mid and even upper 80s across parts of the ArkLaTex!

The cold front will swing through Monday night into Tuesday morning bringing a brief round of showers and storms followed by some much cooler air. Right now, any severe weather threat is looking very low and mostly confined to far northern sections of the region.

As mentioned, much cooler air will follow with highs by Tuesday in the low 70s and only in the mid and upper 60s by next Wednesday!

Have a great evening!
