CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - UPDATE: The girl has been found safe, according to Chesterfield County Police.

ORIGINAL STORY: Virginia State Police have issued a Missing Endangered Child Alert on behalf of the Chesterfield County Police Department.

Police are looking for Isabelle Renee Pittera, 11. She was last reported seen at 5:30 p.m. Monday on Rockmont Court in North Chesterfield, wearing a plaid skirt, tye-dye shirt and grey tennis shoes. She answers to the nickname “Izzy.” She is further identified by bug bite scars on her forearms.

Police said she was presumed to be traveling alone and on foot, but her disappearance “poses a credible threat to her health and safety.”
