MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It was ladies' night at the Fiserv Forum on Sunday, March 24.

Before tonight's Bucks game, they hosted Women's Empowerment Night at Gather.

The event started at 3:00 p.m. with a panel featuring Milwaukee native and WNBA Star Arike Ogunbowale.

Dozens of women in area sports and businesses attended, with the main message, that empowered women, empower women.

"We’re also honoring some of our small, local, women-owned businesses here in the Milwaukee community. More and more amplification, more and more people talking about the benefits of women in business and in sports is what’s going to help us grow," said Kareeda Chones-Aguam, Sr. VP of Partnership Strategy and Management.

During the game itself, the Bucks shared stories of how sports empower women and girls.
