Ewan McGregor, left, and Liam Neeson strike the pose in a scene from "Star Wars: Episode 1 — The Phantom Menace." The nine-movie "Star Wars" cycle is showing in only 13 theaters for Star Wars Day 2024, including Marcus Theatres' Majestic Cinema in Brookfield.

The entire "Skywalker Saga" — all nine movies in the core "Star Wars" canon — will be shown in a marathon at just 13 theaters around the country for Star Wars Day, May 4.

And one of them — the only one in Wisconsin — is Marcus Theatres' Majestic Cinema.

Marcus announced Friday that the Majestic will start "The Skywalker Saga: The May the 4th Marathon" at 8 p.m. May 3. The marathon, with all nine movies screening in narrative-chronological order, starts with "Star Wars: Episode 1 — The Phantom Menace."

The marathon marks the 25th anniversary of "Phantom Menace's" theatrical debut.

Tickets for the marathon are $45 and include a collectible poster and 20% off concessions during the movies. Admission also includes a "Star Wars"-themed breakfast, from a "Bantha Breakfast Wrap" to "Palpatine Farms Vine Coffee." There are other "Star Wars"-themed activities at the theater as well.

Including the 90-minute breakfast break, the whole thing runs just over 24 hours, with "The Rise of Skywalker" wrapping up after 7 p.m. May 4.

Tickets, expected to sell out, went on sale Friday. See marcustheatres.com/skywalkersagamarathon for tickets and more details.

If you just want to start with "Phantom Menace," it's also returning to theaters May 3 — a lot of them. So far, all eight Milwaukee-area Marcus theaters and AMC Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa are selling tickets for the 1999 movie, which introduced young Anakin Skywalker — and Jar Jar Binks.
