EPA’s Renewable Fuel Standard Analysis Is Flawed, Groups Say

Environmental organizations and refining groups are challenging the Environmental Protection Agency’s renewable fuel standards for 2023–2025.

“Rather than reducing biofuels volumes to further the goals of the Clean Air Act, EPA maintained volumes at levels that exacerbate, rather than mitigate, climate, environmental, and justice harms,” the Center for Biological Diversity and National Wildlife Federation told the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on March 22.
