Police investigating homicide in Genesee County

Alabama, N.Y. — The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent homicide.

Police said Michael Poole, 59, who lives in the Olcott area in Niagara County, was found dead Tuesday in the town of Alabama during a missing person's investigation.

The preliminary investigation indicated Poole was killed in an isolated incident and there did not appear to be a threat to the public.

Police said no further information is being released at this time, as the investigation continues.
