BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Lake Worth man remains in critical condition Wednesday morning following a crash on State Road 7 in Boynton Beach.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Andrew Kahn, 84, was traveling southbound on State Road 7 — in a 2023 Honda Civic — at a high rate of speed and swerving within both lanes behind a 2000 Ford E250 driven by Selvin Raudales. As both vehicles approached Lee Road, the Honda impacted the rear of the Ford. The Honda went under the back of the Ford.

“As the crash ensued,” said PBSO, “the Ford separated from the Honda and was redirected to the left, crossing the median and northbound lanes of State Road 7. The Ford came to a final rest on the east shoulder. The Honda continued southbound, then crossed the median and the northbound lanes. The Honda entered the east shoulder and impacted the guardrail and came to a final rest.”

Both Kahn and Raudales were rushed to Delray Medical Center. Investigators believe that Kahn may have been experiencing a medical emergency prior to the collision. The crash was first reported to dispatchers around 10:30 Tuesday morning.
